Took a train from Sapporo to Asahikawa
Asahikawa station quite marvelous
Then a bus to the hostel in daisetsuzan national park
Made friends at dinner. Maybe will meet them in their Takasaki home. Nice alpenglow to the evening. Big hike tomorrow with rice ball in my backpack.

Gorgeous. Looks like a pacific rim version of Pucon in the south of Chile. Hope you have met some nice people too.
